Issai Beautyberry is a small rounded deciduous shrub valued for its showy fruits.  The mild green foliage turns yellow in fall.  Clusters of tiny light pink flowers bloom in summer  attracting bees and butterflies, then give way to bursts of bright magenta fruits that persist to the beginning of winter.  Best shape in full sun, but some shade promotes drought tolerance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Low maintenance plant.  Prune back 6” in winter or early spring to better flowering.  No serious pests of diseases.  Some susceptibility to left spot, stem diseases, and black mold.
