Hershey's Red Azalea is a rounded evergreen  shrub with dense foliage and a thick coating of slightly fragrant bright red double flowers that bloom in mid spring.  The narrow dark green leaves have no fall color.   Best grown in  part sun and rich, moist, acidic well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water Regularly.  Mulch in winter.  Proper care and air circulation should prevent most pest and disease problems. Rhododendrons are susceptible canker, crown rot, root rot, leaf spot, rust, powdery mildew, aphids, borers, lacebugs, leafhoppers, mealybugs, mites, nematodes, scale, thrips, and whitefly. 
LANDSCAPE USES:  Accents or Group Plantings,  Borders Naturalized Areas Wildlife Garden,  Privacy Screen, Foundation Plantings, and Hedges.

Our goal is to build strong relationships with our customers and we always want to make things right, but we cannot always guarantee what happens once the plants are outside of our nursery, how you care for the plants, if they’re in the correct growing zones, weather damage, soil conditions, insect infestations, etc..
