Tex Star Peach is a fruiting deciduous tree known with a strong production of summer semi-clingstone fruit. The attractive early spring display of pink flowers give way to the red blushed fruits with sweet and firm flesh. Grows best in full sun and rich, moist well-drained soils. Tex Star is self pollinating and has a low chill requirement of only 450 hrs.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: High Maintenance. Needs regular watering. Peaches have a lot of pest and disease issues and need regular spraying to ensure good crop. Potential pests include tree borer, fruit moth, root nematodes, and aphids. Late spring frosts can severely damage flower buds. Fallen fruit can be messy if not harvested.
