Nite-Light Hinoki Cypress is a dwarf non-flowering evergreen  conifer  shrub with a dense rounded habit.  The flat scale-like leaves are rich green that develop golden tips where the sun reaches, and turns golden-bronze in winter with a green center.  Its small cones are green-brown (female) or orange-brown (male) depending on gender.  Prefers  full sun and moist well-drained soil.  Nite-Light has improved sun and winter burn resistance.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance.  Water regularly but needs well-drained soil.  Juniper blight, root rot, and certain insect pests can be issues if soil to wet. Shelter from hard winds.

 LANDSCAPE USES:  Specimen or Groups plantings,  Borders Woodland Gardens Rock Garden, Foundation Planting, Hedges, and Containers.

COMPANION PLANTS:  Heavenly Bamboo Azalea Japanese Maple
